À intervalles réguliers, il est indispensable de renouveler un filtre d'habitacle (ou filtre à pollen), car un filtre saturé en impuretés ne remplit plus son rôle de filtration. Pollens, particules nocives et autres proliférations de germes microbiologiques ne manqueront alors pas d’être aspirés par les bronches avec les conséquences que l’on peut imaginer.
