Un filtro de habitáculo (o filtro antipolen) debe cambiarse a intervalos regulares, porque un filtro saturado de impurezas ya no cumple su función de filtrado. El polen, las partículas nocivas y otros gérmenes microbiológicos serán entonces arrastrados hacia los bronquios, con todas las consecuencias que se puedan imaginar. El filtro antipolen es uno de los elementos que contribuyen al confort y la salud de los ocupantes del vehículo.
