A cabin filter (or pollen filter) must be changed at regular intervals, because a filter that is saturated with impurities no longer fulfils its filtering role. Pollen, harmful particles and other microbiological germs will then be drawn into the bronchial tubes, with all the consequences that can be imagined. The pollen filter is one of the elements that contribute to the comfort and health of vehicle occupants.
A worn-out filter at least partially blocks the ventilation system. The efficiency of your vehicle's air-conditioning, heating and demisting system is considerably reduced. In extreme cases, the blockage can lead to variations in the engine speed of the air conditioning unit, which can lead to a complete breakdown.
